Once in a while I will hear stories about blackmagic buffoonery, but you know as they say the power of placebos can be effective even interpersonally, I've asked the same question to my lecturer how is it that deep in native jungles people can be cured using shamanic rites such as singing and taking drugs and he tells me that placebos can be very effective tools to even cure illnesses, this explanation even in the throes of religious fervosity can count as some become cured of cancer and other terminal illnesses through the power of prayer and faith alone. This as science cannot explain, humans have used different interpretations of. Many professors and doctors (of the anthropological kind) do not scoff at the idea of possession and the otherworldly. What I wanted to discuss was the powers of those in the Malay culture call 'pemanis', 'susuk' and 'naisi kangkang'. There are many selling their trade on such and many sometimes as the story goes it all begins when someone's husband or boyfriend meets another woman and in less than a month would run off and marry her, and he, as if possessed would leave all his cares to be with his 'woman'. Such stories would begin with, definitely, someone sending a plate of food. What I do find odd is that in cases of cunnilingus and men giving women satisfaction orally do not develop a sort of madness towards their partners abandoning any care whatsoever. Some of the cases of the woman in question usually would be deemed unattractive, rarely though the 'other' woman is young and attractive. Another thing I do find odd is that such things are a process of life, any person male or female would at some point be leaving their partners for a better or more attractive person. But all of these things aside, why is it necessarily important that as women we put so much stress and significance on relationships? There are numerous shows playing on the theme of 'love' or volatile relationships examination of sex and love like sex and the city. What is all the hype of relationships? Finding the right man or woman, the better partner the more attractive partner, the more intelligent or successful or religious, etc. When we examine all these questions aside from the person being criminally insane why do women depend so much on men for everything? My sister asked my mother why she didn't change her lightbulb and her answer was, wait till I get a new husband. But why the serious dependence on men anyway? Hasn't women been successful without men for ages? And isn't it a fact that women of older ages have been tending the fields and caring for small children then coming home and wait on her lazy ass husband? Women have been successfully turning babies to people for eons and more and not just that, cook the food, get some money, sell some food, give birth to ten children, carry ten children, live and grow old. What is it with society's new image of the 'weak' woman? We have never needed men, when they're off fighting their dumb wars we at home were able to survive and care for ourselves without the help and protection of man. And yet our women spend money on such 'blackmagic' to procur a man. Seriously, I believe it is a psychological sign that they're wasting money on perspective. If women spent as much time as they do procuring a man women would have been able to conquer continents, manage palaces, become leading leaders. We are falling on the pitfalls of our own transgression. If only we could revolutionize women, the problem is, it will never happen. We are too busy and wrapped up in our own stupidity and need to please men. I suppose the reason why men are able to conquer worlds throughout history is the fact that they have utilized women. Im thinking no wonder women are so slow. It has been thousands of years and still women are second to men. It pisses me off.
